Cognovi Labs is a Delaware corporation (“Cognovi”) that has created an emotion

artificial intelligence (“Emotion AI”) software platform. Considerable research has indicated that emotional intelligence is related to positive mental and physical health outcomes. We believe creating Emotion AI products that identify emotions expressed in communications will help people better understand motivations and decisions in various aspects of life. Cognovi has dedicated almost a decade to integrate behavioral psychology with deep machine learning in pursuit of creating an ethical, responsible, privacy-protected, and secure Emotion AI.

 

Our psychology roots run deep at Cognovi. Our products were developed by psychologists steeped in research associated with identifying emotion. And because we employ PhD psychologists who continue to work to improve our technology, they are bound by the oath spelled out in the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (2017). As a company, Cognovi seeks to adopt processes, procedures, and practices that embrace the Ethics Code at the operational level. This is a work in progress and we are not there yet but are continuing on this journey.

 

Our commitment with respect to Responsible AI is to implement safe, transparent/ understandable, ethical, and equitable AI and machine learning solutions to users of our products and services. While Responsible AI is also a journey, we feel confident about the direction we have chosen to take. We recently employed a full-time Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer to help us move forward on this path and implemented an internal Ethics Review Board. As stated above, our team also includes multiple PhDs in psychology and other sciences, data scientists, engineers, product developers, marketers, and business development professionals in order to ensure that our products and services encompass an ethical and responsible discipline.
